hands are A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 LS1320 watches actually the second hands

These two hands are A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 LS1320 watches actually the second hands, because what would a watch be without the ability to read the seconds? The top hand begins at 0 and slides along until it reaches 30, all the while the bottom hand remains immobile. Once the top hand has reached 30, the bottom hand begins to move and the top one resets. To see this watch in action is very cool. What we like about this watch is that it is so clearly Franck Muller without going overboard. We tend to be traditionalists (why we love the Explorer and Ranchero so much), and some of his watches are just too much for us. The Transamerica bi-retrograde is not too much at all, in fact it's just right. Classic design with just a little bit of Muller-flair. Now Franck Muller watches aren't for the guarded, financially or stylistically. In fact, the retail on this watch is over $17,000. However, we have found one that is in perfect condition selling for just over $5,000. It was a jewelers display model and comes without the box, but in like new A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 LS1320 watches condition at this price, we're ok with that. This could be a great option for some of you out there looking for a high-mark brand without spending a lot...after all $5,300 is roughly what you'll pay for a new Rolex Submariner, your average Breitling, and likely less than what you'll pay for an IWC. The best part about it is, none of your friends or co-workers are going to be rocking a bi-retrograde Franck Muller...unless of course you roll with G-Unit, and in that case, our guess is this isn't the model for you.Click here for the details on this Franck Muller Transamerica 2000 SR Bi-Retrograde, our favorite Franck.

With SIHH coming to a close just a few weeks ago and BaselWorld buzz already trickling in, it is really hard NOT to talk about the newest watches out there, so why fight it? Today we received word of a classic being revisited. Not just any classic, but one of the watches we faithfully feature on Hodinkee with some regularity, the Breitling Navitimer. 2009 marks the 125th anniversary of everyone's favorite aviator's watches, and to celebrate this, Breitling has released the anniversary edition Navitimer. As you can see, the A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 LS1320 watches looks are pure Navitimer, and we have no problem with that. The most noticeable and progressive aspect of this 125th anniversary Navitimer is the "Air Racer" bracelet. We don't know much about it, but it appears to be pure, un-linked metal. Breitling is releasing only 2009 pieces of this standard steel version, but there will also be a limited number of rose gold pieces available. No word on prices yet, but we have to say we're intrigued. We are curious how it fill fair against the 40th Anniversary Omega Speedmaster (the war rages on!).For more information on what Breitling has to offer as well as other A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 LS1320 watches exclusive content from BaselWorld, visit Perpetuelle's outstanding BaselWorld Forum. Click here for a small gallery of the new Navitimer. Many of Franck Muller's designs are a little crazy, others are remarkably beautiful, today's find is a little bit of both. In our opinion, it is the perfect example of Franck Muller. It is called the Transamerica 2000 SR Bi-Retrograde and it's a favorite watch of ours. The watch is a relatively normal looking stainless steel, black-faced time-teller until you notice the two small retrograde hands that surround the pivot point.
